Selection of diamond quality
At present, the specification of domestic stone processing saw blade is generally 105-3500mm (the specification of the largest domestic saw blade abroad is 5000mm)

Among them, saw blades with a specification below 250mm are mainly used for decoration and decoration processing on hand-held and semi professional cutting machines. It is recommended to use high grade diamond single crystals such as HFD1280 and HFD1290;
The P350-500mm specification data sheet is mainly used for processing semi-finished sheet materials into engineering grooving (breaking). It is recommended to use HFD1260, HFD1280, HFD1290 and other medium and high grade diamond single crystals;

The 600-900mm specification data sheet is mainly used for forming sawing of thick stone slabs (columns) like tombstones and tomb columns. It is recommended to use HFD1240, HFD1260 and other medium grade diamond single crystals;

Saw blades with a size of more than 1000mm are mainly used for sawing the block into lumber (plate). At present, the 1600mm saw blade is the most commonly used. It is recommended to use HFD1220, HFD1230, HFD1240 and other low-grade diamond single crystals.

Generally speaking, the circular saw blade with the specification of less than 250mm is a small diameter saw blade, which is suitable for cutting marble, granite, ceramic tile, concrete, decorative materials and building flying damage grooving. It has the characteristics of fast cutting, low power consumption, seam lining, wear resistance, etc. It can be dry cut or wet cut.

2. Selection of diamond particle size
When the diamond grain size is coarse and single, the blade tip is sharp and the sawing efficiency is high, but the bending strength of diamond agglomeration decreases; When diamond grain size is fine or mixed with coarse and fine grain size, the saw blade head has high durability but low efficiency. Considering the above factors comprehensively, it is appropriate to select the diamond particle size of 50/60 mesh.

3. Selection of diamond distribution concentration
In a certain range, when the diamond concentration changes from low to high, the sharpness and cutting efficiency of the saw blade gradually decline, while the service life is gradually extended; However, if the concentration is too high, the saw blade will become blunt. However, if low concentration and coarse particle size are adopted, the efficiency will be improved. By taking advantage of the different functions of each part of the cutter head in sawing, different concentrations are used (i.e., lower concentrations can be used in the middle layer of a three-layer or more structure). The middle groove is formed on the cutter head during sawing, which is conducive to preventing the saw blade from swinging, thus improving the stone processing quality.

4. Selection of diamond strength
The strength of diamond is an important index to ensure the cutting performance. Too high strength will make the crystal not easy to break, and the abrasive particles will be polished during use, which will reduce the sharpness, leading to deterioration of tool performance; When the strength of diamond is not enough, it is easy to be broken after being impacted, and it is difficult to bear the heavy task of cutting. Therefore, the strength shall be 130~140N.

5. Selection of bonding phase
The performance of the saw blade is not only determined by the diamond, but also depends on the overall performance of the composite material composed of diamond and binder. For soft stones such as marble, the mechanical properties of the cutting head are required to be relatively low, and copper based binder can be selected. However, the copper based binder has low sintering temperature, low strength and hardness, high toughness and low bond strength with diamond. When tungsten carbide (WC) is added, WC or W2C is used as the skeleton metal, with appropriate amount of cobalt added to improve the strength, hardness and bonding properties, and a small amount of low melting point, low hardness Cu, Sn, Zn and other metals are added as the bonding phase. The particle size of the main additive shall be finer than 200 meshes, and the particle size of the additive shall be finer than 300 meshes.

6. Selection of sintering process
With the increase of temperature, the densification degree of matrix increases, and the bending strength also increases. And with the extension of holding time, the bending strength of blank matrix and diamond agglomeration first increases and then decreases. The 120s sintering process at 800 ℃ can be selected to meet the performance requirements.
